Wanted: More North Devon Delicacies!

At Top Meadow Farm we all enjoy eating excellent local food, and love introducing new meat and produce to our growing number of customers in the shop in Butchers Row and on-line. We believe that organic or traditional family farmers and growers in North Devon produce some of the best meat, fruit, vegetables and other foods in the country.

Since we opened our doors nearly a year ago, in the spring of 2020, we have focused on our fresh meat : our succulent, organic Red Ruby Devon beef, our wild Exmoor venison, tasty local goat meat, delicious grass-fed lamb, excellent free-range geese and Norfolk bronze turkeys, our mouth-watering Gloucester Old Spot sausages.

But our customers tell us that they want more……..

As well as continuing to sell our excellent range of organic and local meat, we now want to extend the range of produce to include the best artisan-produced smoked, dried, cured or cooked meats and charcuterie from local North Devon producers.

So, if you are a farmer or small-holder producing something different…. guineafowl, rare-breed pork, goat meat, quail, local rare breed lamb, we want to hear from you.

If you are a chef or artisan producer who can produce cooked or smoked meats, speciality sausages, pasties, pates, pies, or traditional local delicacies like hogs pudding, chitterlings or tripe, we should like to speak to you. If you are a shooter who can produce supplies of rabbits or pigeons, or a forager who can supply us with laver, wild herbs or mushrooms, please get in touch!

At Top Meadow Farm we want to stock a wider range of produce, more traditional North Devon delicacies as well as new, interesting and exotic foods, and we want to encourage more artisan producers locally to work with us on this.
